This was such a wonderful and breath taking movie and had a strong story line from start to finish. The movie is based on a book written by Yann Martel and was brought to reality by Ang Lee. I didn't read the book before seeing the film but I still understood the whole concept. The way that the director me feel the same emotions for the boy in the movie was quiet impressive. I was talking to a friend who hadn't seen Life of Pi and he asked me how could that movie be any good? It's just an Indian boy and a tiger on a boat! And he is correct. But it's the bizarre storyline and the constant wonder about how this boy is going to survive that makes it a great movie. Also, there were a couple of scenes that truly made your jaw drop and wish you were actually there to witness natures beauty. The final scene of the movie has a big plot twist that leaves you pondering about the truth and certainly sets up a discussion for after the movie. If you go into the movie knowing that it's no Die Hard movie with a million explosions and gunfire, then I am certain that you enjoy every minute of the film.
This movie deserves a 9 / 10
